Kallo's Environmental policy

ForestWe at Kallo are commited to minimising the possibile negative environmental impact of our activites. One of our business objectives for 2006 was to implement an EMS (Environmental Management System) leading to ISO14001 accreditation, which we are proud to say we achieved. We also switched our energy supplier to Ecotricity, a more sustainable source and reduced the amount of electricity, water and paper used in the office. During 2007 we will be striving to reduce further all resources used at our office in Wormley, as well as increasing our use of recycled packaging, reducing the travel miles we do and where possible influencing the policy of suppliers and customers.

What is ISO 14001

ISO 14001 is the internationally recognised standard for the environmental management of business. It prescribes controls for those activities that have an effect on the environment. These include the handling and treatment of waste, the use of natural resources and energy consumption. All ISO accredited companies are audited at least once a year to ensure compliance.
